Terrara House is nestled in the heart of the Shoalhaven region, just 15 minutes from the charming town of Berry, 20 minutes from the pristine white sand beaches of Jervis Bay, and 30 minutes from the Southern Highlands via the scenic Kangaroo Valley. BERRY
If you're after great coffee, food, and a bit of a mooch, Berry is a must. Some of our favourite spots include Milkwood Bakery for the best bakery treats, IV Coffee for what we reckon is the best coffee on the South Coast, and for dessert, of course, the iconic Berry Donut Van.
While you're there, take some time to wander through town. A couple of our go-to shops are Few & Far and Haven & Space for homewares, gifts, and just a good browse.

SOUTH COAST BEACHES
There are so many great beaches nearby, but a few of our favourites include Hyams Beach for its picturesque white sand, Huskisson Beach for a swim and something to eat, Callala Bay when we’re after something a bit quieter, and Seven Mile Beach for a long walk.
While November might be a little late for whale watching, Hyams is known for close encounters with dolphins, often just metres from the shore at sunrise and sunset.
All of these beaches are easy to reach from Terrara and perfect for a beach day if you’re staying a little longer!

GOLF
There’s no shortage of golf in the Shoalhaven region, which suits Nic just fine! If you can’t find him during the weekend, there’s a good chance he’s at one of these two spots:
Shoalhaven Heads is a well-conditioned course where the sound of waves filters through the trees, and it’s a great challenge for keen golfers.
Worrigee Links is a more relaxed option, ideal for a social game, and it happens to be right next to one of our recommended accommodations, Springs Shoalhaven Motel.

WINERIES
While both of us will admit we’re more partial to a Barossa red, the South Coast has some lovely, laid-back wineries that are perfect for a long lunch.
Cambewarra Estate is a family-run vineyard that holds a special place in our hearts. If you look down across the vines, you might just spot the pink door and jetty where we got engaged.
Another favourite is Crooked River Winery, where you can relax with a picnic on the hill and take in views of the vines and rolling Shoalhaven countryside. Both are easy day trips from Terrara and well worth a visit if you have the time.
